December is a busy time for the band, and this year was no exception. On 6th December the band, conducted by Brendan Gudgeon, played the musical soundtrack to a screening of The Snowman at Fairford Leys Church in Aylesbury. This was a second performance, the first being in December 2023, and like that occasion it was a sell-out. This looks like it might become an annual event for the band.
Then the next day another regular event, the Aylesbury Mayor’s Carol Service, took place at St. Mary’s Church, Aylesbury. Unfortunately Brendan Gudgeon was not available to conduct so we were led by Jon Milne. Brendan was also unable to conduct the third event on 13th December, Fairford Leys Carols in Hampden Square, Aylesbury, so we welcomed another guest conductor, Paul Strachan.
So ended 2025 for the band. After Christmas it will be time to start preparing our Spring concert.
