Fanfare, Romance and Finale

1. Good opening – careful with the demi-semiquavers. Good ensemble at 8 & 14 well done. Well balanced through to 41. Just uncomfortable at 43 & 44. Good end to the fanfare. Well done Brass.
2. Nice opening & good balance. You move well together. Nice semi work at 11 & on. Good at 19 and nice end.
3. Good opening. Well done Horns at 6. All going well just a bit scrappy at 25. Lovely full sounds at 36. Nice trumpet at 41. Great WW at 55. Fine through to 83. Ending a bit uneasy – shame!

Cartoon

Good start – nice feel. Good WW at 14, nice bassoon. Good trombone, just the right 'manic' feel. All this is well handled to 57. Good trumpet at 57. Nice 'Gershwin' feel to 69. A tempo before 101 just 'sticks' for a bar or two. Bass end watch dotted rhythm 5 after 101 & again 4 bars later. Nice trombones before 132. Well done WW through 132. Percussion plus helpers do well. 174 trumpets fine, just push it through, it's your big moment. Well played clarinet at 190. Good move into 202, with fine WW. Good feel at 214. Moves well into 229 & semi runs good in WW. 245 still moving. Nice moment of calm before 275. Well played woodwind, your scale practice came in handy.
